Small-town charm attracts families to Country Faire in Linden by Raymus Homes
LINDEN-Across
America, small towns are becoming a rarity as big-city stores and
restaurants pop up and transform the landscape. Families looking for a
peaceful setting – where they know their neighbors and enjoy a sense of
safety and community – are finding fewer housing options.
One
local town has chosen the slow-growth route. Linden, California,
population 1,103, has allowed just a few new homes into its close-knit
community. Located near Stockton and Manteca, Linden is a quiet bedroom
town where the residents cheer the Linden Lions football team and enjoy a
slower pace.
Situated between two walnut orchards, Country Faire
by Raymus Homes retains the quaint charm residents desire. At 7,500
square feet, the sprawling lots are at least 25 percent larger than
typical new home spaces, says Ryan Bray, sales agent for Raymus Homes.
Five plans are available, priced from $399,990 to $499,990. The plans
range from 1,571 square feet to 2,990 square feet, and most offer the
option of a three-car garage. Here is a brief look at two of the most
popular homes:
• At 2,073 square feet, the three-bedroom,
two-bathroom Veranda offers a butler’s pantry, a formal dining room, an
optional study and other custom additions in its comfortable, single
story design. • The two-story Manor features a spacious country
kitchen and nook, a great room with fireplace and an alcove overlooking
the dining room. Its three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath design, with
2,239 square feet of living space, may be personalized with a fourth
bedroom, guest suite, super family room, playroom or other options.
All
homes include fire-resistant concrete tile roofing, hand-set ceramic
tile flooring, distinctive arches, gas fireplaces, ceiling fans,
custom-designed oak cabinetry and master suites with large walk-in
closets. Bray says the homes are Energy Star certified by an independent
firm to be at least 15 percent more energy efficient than standard new
homes. “With the escalating prices of energy and gas, the cost savings
can really add up,” he says.
Based in Manteca, Raymus Homes is a
homebuilder focused on first-time and move-up homebuyers in San Joaquin
County. The company offers more than 40 years of experience and utilizes
top-quality craftsmen and materials. Raymus Homes chooses to build just
120 homes per year to allow families the opportunity to personalize
their residences. Every home is built with uncompromising integrity and
attention to detail, customized to the unique needs and lifestyles of
each homeowner.
Sales are brisk, with about a third of the 70
homes already sold so far. Bray urges families to act now while there is
still a fairly wide selection and choice of locations. Country Faire is
located at 5545 North Giovanni Court, Linden. The sales office is open
Thursday through Monday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. To reach Country Faire
from Stockton, take Highway 99 north to Highway 26 and head east. Then
turn left on Duncan Road, follow the signs to Monte Vista Drive and turn
right onto Giovanni Court. For more information, please phone (209)
