Event attendees appreciate mobile ATM convenience

Are you hosting a large community event this year? If so, you may want to consider utilizing a mobile ATM for your attendees. Because many vendors may not accept checks or credit cards, a mobile ATM allows people greater flexibility, which contributes to the success of the event.

Valley First Credit Union, is one of the only financial institutions in Stanislaus County with a mobile ATM, invites your business or organization to reserve its specially equipped ATM van for your (year) events. Last year, the mobile ATM proved so popular that it has already been scheduled again for a number of events.

“By providing attendees a new level of convenience, our mobile ATM contributes to the success of events,” says Hank Barrett, president and CEO of Valley First Credit Union in Modesto, “which in turn supports our community.”

Anita Morphew, vice president of marketing, notes, “One of the most exciting things about our mobile ATM is that there’s no fee charged to event sponsors.” Although wiring or other site accommodations are sometimes necessary, the van is supplied at no cost for the duration of the event. “It’s a win-win situation,” she says.

The 22-foot van houses two reliable, secure ATMs that function just like branch ATMs. Attendees can withdraw funds in increments of $20, up to their regular limits.

For use of the ATM, some attendees pay a small surcharge fee, plus any transaction fee charged by their financial institution. Attendees with a credit union CO-OP Network logo on the back of their ATM or check card enjoy free use of the machines.  This includes members of Valley First Credit Union and other local credit unions.

This year, Valley First Credit Union’s mobile ATM will be on hand at such events as the Oakdale Chocolate Festival, Modesto Relay for Life for the American Cancer Society, Stanislaus County Fair and Riverbank Cheese & Wine Expo.

The calendar is filling fast. To inquire about scheduling the mobile ATM for your large community event, please contact Anita Morphew at 209/549-8511, ext. 3005, to check availability. At least 30 days advance notice is preferred.
